Life At The Castle

Countless superlatives can be used to describe le Pavillon de la Reine, the only hotel with direct access to the magnificent place des Vosges.

Slightly retracted from the famous square, it is accessible via a grandiose porch that opens up from between two art galleries. With its small garden and its ivy covering the front of the building, le Pavillon de la Reine possesses all the charm and tranquillity of a rural, aristocratic residence.

Inside, the communal areas are large and spacious, offering elegant and discreet surroundings with soft lighting, chimneys, portraits, stone paving covered with rugs, velvet sofas and magnificent beams full of forged iron and history; The patterns here are light, and the colours _ predominantly red and beige - are modern.

Le Pavillon de la Reine's 56 bedrooms and suites, which have been redecorated  gradually over time and which are all different, lean towards a modern design that is both subtle yet contains colours that exude warmth, creating a charming mix of both designer and classical elements;

Although certain bedrooms may seem old fashioned, perhaps even a touch rustic, through the furniture and the layout they retain an informal, welcoming side. The bedrooms of this hotel, which is notably spacious for a historic building in the heart of Paris, either overlook the garden or an interior patio.

The Victor Hugo suite, which pays homage to the writer-poet who lived just a stone's throw away from this establishment, has incredible charm, with a beautiful high ceiling and an interior design that offers a warm and tasteful mix of both the ancient and the modern.

If this hotel includes neither a restaurant nor a bar-lounge, it is probably in no small part due to the multitude of bars and restaurants found in the surrounding area, yet also to assure its clientele both tranquillity and privacy. The service is both friendly and attentive.

The clientele

The only hotel in this old region of Paris to mix, to such an extent, elegance, charm and luxury, le Pavillon de la Reine is a remarkable boutique hotel for true connoisseurs. This will attract you to the establishment, of course, but you will be drawn back here again by its willingness to provide discretion.
