Bright and vibrant, relaxed and trendy

In opening the Metropolitan on London’s ultra chic Park Lane, already home to some prestigious hotels, the Como Group was looking to make its mark with a hotel aimed the modern, dynamic business traveller who didn’t wish to be bound by the formalities of old fashioned luxury hotels.

Built from scratch in 1997, something of a rarity in the centre of a European city, the 10-storey building houses a spa and massage centre, Nobu, one of London’s most popular restaurants and 150 rooms with simple, comfortable décor and wonderful views. The service, flying the Armani flag, is youthful and efficient in keeping with the style of the hotel.

The clientele

The hotel attracts an international, mainly American, clientele, but is heaven on earth for anyone looking for top of the range service without the ubiquitous formality of its counterparts, anyone who wants to relax in the spa or simply enjoy the parks or the view over the city following a hard day’s work or shopping.
